Parking via QR-code: Heusden-Zolder first in Europe

« Heusden-Zolder is the first city in Europe to launch the parking via QR-code » says Sonja Claes, Heusden-Zolder mayor. We are also very proud that de company Alfa-Zet from Heusden-Zolder developed this technology together with Mobile-for. Instead of typing the parking meter number followed by the license plate, the user simply downloads a free app on his phone with which he scans the parking meter QR-code. Then he starts a parking session via the application. He stops his session through the same application. Currently the application is only available on the Android platform. As from end January the app will be available on the Apple store.
